The only halfway-usable picture I got from inside Madison Square Garden before the Arcade Fire concert.  It at least gives you a sense of where I was sitting.

What I really wanted to show (besides, well, the concert) but didn’t turn out at all in any picture was how, erm, boastful? the New York Rangers are about their successes.  Being proud is one thing, but they had four separate banners commemorating their 1993-1994 season, one each for having the best record in the NHL, winning their division, winning their conference and winning the Stanley Cup.

Also, it will completely destroy my indie rock cred to admit this, but… I fell asleep during Spoon’s set.  More than once.  It wasn’t their fault, my body just gave out.
